Sterile Water

Sterile Water for injection is sterile and nonpyrogenic and is intended for intravenous, intramuscular, or subcutaneous administration. It has no added buffer or antimicrobial agent and is supplied only in single-dose containers to dilute or dissolve drugs for injection.

It is used for preparations that require dilution or must be dissolved in an aqueous vehicle prior to injection.
